An unfinished house doesn’t mean a terrible thing. It is a solution for the limited budget. Apan House is proof of gorgeous intentionally unfinished settlement.
Talking about unfinished houses, most people think that this is something that they must solve as soon as possible. However, what if it becomes an attempt to present a minimalist vibe?
The unfinished building is a concept considered a practical way to make out of the box settlement idea. One more good thing is that this is also affordable and gives you enough creative space.
INFONAVIT implemented the idea through the Del Territorio al Habitante project, a solution from rural problems, especially in Mexico. The land is limited, yet the growth of the population is augmented.
Two things that can catapult residential prices are material and design. An intentionally unfinished house is an idea that can overcome both. The building features concrete as the primary material while the facade is left undone. It turns out that the concept gives an industrial feeling instead of a terrible look.
Some parts of the facade are covered up in ocean blue ceramics and modern houses. It pops out as a bright decoration and no more dull looks.
The interior also features the bare concrete wall. That might be a tricky option, but it is overcome well with the minimalist wooden furniture.
We can still sense the unfinished nuance when stepping the bedroom. However, the designer can always present it marvelously. The pitched ceiling gives an airy and spacious ambiance. Meanwhile, there is still a tiny space left in the bedroom that can be used as a working space or breakroom.
Bunk bed selection is a smart choice for limited space. The upper part is used as a place to sleep while the bottom as a closet for the wardrobe.
Unfinished nuances are also present in the living room. This choice is risky because instead of looking minimalist, the room can look seedy. However, this can be overcome with pops of color on furniture and minimalist wall decoration.
Color plays do not dominate this house. However, that is the essence of the industrial design. Some of the colors used are monotonous: blue, yellow, primary concrete, and wooden colors.
The floor also uses primary grayish concrete colors. To overcome problems like dust from concrete, the flooring is sanded and lacquered.
Apan house is an option when you want a stunning house architecture at affordable prices. You can reduce costs for paint, flooring, and furniture to get a minimalist home in a friendly vibe.
