In the hectic world that everyone is living nowadays, a modern-minimalist apartment in the white interior is the calming space many needs.
The apartment house is designed to quietly enjoy a small apartment space. It is clean and maximized to its full potential, all the while remaining to be aesthetically pleasing. The apartment house reflects the neighboring houses in terms of the scale and roofline. The kitchen, the laundry area, the stairs, and the bedroom are all contained in one open space, implementing the modern open architecture.
Minimal and Open in White
Access to light is an important aspect in a compact living space. The roofline of the apartment area is equipped with a large sliding window, letting natural light to come in while still maintaining the minimalist and clean white walls to expose its beauty.
The wooden floor, accentuating the minimalist interior, creates a nice transition from the hectic street into the calming house. It also exudes a raw vibe mixed with natural lighting. The ceiling is set up high for an indoor double-height space. The upper space is used exclusively for sleeping. However, a working desk overlooking the outside world is available by the railings. Angling the railings upright gives the illusion of them being spaced further apart, increasing a sense of openness to the upstairs.
Hidden Kitchen Cabinets
The apartment house contains a mini bar that suits the size of the apartment perfectly by the entrance. Everything is hidden within the cabinets in the kitchen so that it creates a sense of calmness to the living space. A lot of spaces need to be able to appear and disappear as needed, therefore, the furniture picked is flexible.
The Final Goal
Creating the biggest feeling of space possible is the goal with the open interior design applied in Baltas Butas. The first floor is set back from the rear wall to create a mezzanine level and allows light from the skylights to filter through to both levels.
Designing a limited space is a cautiously tailored way of designing, so, everything needs to be carefully considered. Knowing the resident’s lifestyle and knowing what is essential and important will help in creating a meaningful and fulfilling apartment house.
