The house is located at a very prominent location, right at the corner of the street. Relatively close to the parkway, its access designed for an easy access route to the street. Taking shape like a huge plinth to the ground, the view from the house is unobstructed to Lake Michigan.

Design

Small-sized stairs led to an elevated deck of the house. The foyer is double high corner-picture windows. In the front door hallway, there is a special-designed wooden blind. The foyer leads the living room.

The living room, which is facing the other side of the double high picture window, is containing several kinds of sofas. There is a set of hard-wedged arm sofa, couples of armed wingback sofa. There is also upholstered bench with cushions. Limitless to that, the living room connected to adjacent terrace via glass sliding door. It is a picture of elegant yet functional living room. The floor is decorated with an ethnic rug, adding elegant yet classic look.

A straight staircase leads to the dining area which is only half of the height to the second floor — a large wooden table with 8 upholstered armchairs surrounding it. An industrial lighting fixture of 20 bulbs hung gracefully and slightly low above the table.

The kitchen is just back-to-back right behind the dining area. A compact double island with integrated sink is gazing to the glass window and allowing anybody who is doing the dishes to be able to see the outside. A sliding glass door is also added in there for occasionally letting the natural atmosphere to get in.

The third floor is where the bedrooms are. Besides the bedroom, there is one more addition that is library. It is right at the corner of the house, and complete with floor-to-ceiling bookshelf a wingback sofa and a corner window.

Colour

From the exterior, the house is indeed an interlocking part of different shape and dimension. The designer paints it plain with matte light grey, making it a standout for the passer-by.

The glass window from the inside can reflect the illumination from the inside, making the house beautifully shine during the dark.
