Outdoors brought indoor, the perfect three-story residence with porticos and natural architecture material.
The design of Namas Baltupiuose, a house near the park, is about how the indoor space can connect very strongly and graciously with the outdoor space. Tall trees are surrounding the outsides of the house. Because of its natural beauty, the house is created in accordance to preserve the trees that were there first.
Outdoors Brought Indoor
The house is very carefully composed as a series of enclosed spaces, open outdoor spaces, and back to enclosed spaces. The reality is that the yard design is around the circling trees. The entrance court welcomes residents as they walk in through the courtyard which has the pool in it. And then there is the indoor court which opens up to the marvelous porticos.
There is also a family court that connects to the kitchen, dining, and living area. It symbolizes the house design which is an outdoor space that is very well defined and is an extension of the indoors.
Long-lasting Architecture Materials
There is an exoskeleton pulled to the outside of the house on the outdoor facade, and it is a large steel, an armature for a roll down shades and roll horizontal shades that reduce the impact of the sunlight coming in, using less energy.
Materials used are sustainable. The main materials on the outside of the house are natural woods, weathering steel, and glass. There are also concrete blocks made out of white cement and pumice so it’s very textural. The walls are natural and burnished with wax over it.
Porticos, Courtyards, and their Philosophical Architecture
There is a great philosophy needed to be understood out of this house as the contrasting difference between indoors and outdoors slightly disappear. It’s a fluid and opens residential space that mimics the flexibility of a loft-like space.
This house can be a very cozy environment to bond with family as it morphs into an open-air indoor, outdoor pavilion. One hundred people can easily be contained in this living space, either enjoying their time in the backyard near the swimming pool, inside the house or out on the porticos.
