Promised Land provides architectural design for a family that enjoy outdoor activities in q remote area. The environmentalist approach is something worth to note.
Promised Land is a house project made for a family that loves outdoor activities. To make this house, a lot of aspects are considered, such as the quality, outdoor activities functionality and aesthetic design.
Firstly, the architect that build this house considers the quality preference, with simplicity as one of the initial considerations. Further on, as it’s a renovated house, it has the veracity of the old structure, which can be seen from the modern technology used and the strong steel frame.
For the new design, a steel structure is used to support the roof, which is made using CLT panels. The panels are used because they are easy to re-assemble, have long spans, and give warm nuances.
The exterior walls are using steel columns with laminated bamboo plywood for the cabinets. On the outside, the empty land is used as a garden. Combined with the steel columns, and plywood, the green surrounding makes the house a welcoming place to see.
On the side of the house, there is a swimming pool that is designed with clear consideration of the wind’s flow. That way, a relaxing evening in the pool can be more enjoyable. You can swim or just sunbathe on the wooden lounge. Near the swimming pool, a pond with clear water adds the overall serenity of the house.
The inside of the house mainly uses the same materials as the ones on the outside. First, it has a dining room with wooden flooring and transparent mirror walls. The dining and living spaces are in the same area, which means whether you want to lounge near the fireplace or eat, you can always enjoy the surrounding scenery at the same time.
The kitchen is designed with minimalist design and full wooden accents. The floor, ceilings, cabinets, are all made of woods with rattan chairs that suit the room very well. The bathroom is a narrow but long space with a shower and long rectangle faucet.
This project is perfect especially for a family that enjoys the outdoors. The design of Promised Land gives transparency to the outside world and wooden accent that brings the outside in.
